Drowned

 

The Drowned are found on worlds with large amounts of water, thus most of settled space with the exception of some of the Khezeratt planets. They are the bodies of those who have been murdered and thrown into the depths but whose souls burn with vengeance for the wrong done to them. This hatred is so strong that the corpse reanimates and crawls out of the water to kill those who remain alive. Since their discovery eons ago a number of malicious and scholarly researchers have conducted experiments that have resulted in the deliberate creation of the Drowned. This is considered a high crime throughout the Six Nations, but the practice stubbornly continues in secretive laboratories in dark places.

 

Drowned are recognizable by the grey-green discoloration of their features due to the time spent underwater and often show signs of rot, decay, or other injury.
